Do you think their team is tired of moving these ladies’ belongings from house to house? Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have done it once again, this time in the 90210. Scarcely eight months after they paid $8.5 million for a slick midcentury modern home in the rugged mountains above Beverly Hills, the real estate connoisseurs have already sold the place.

The house was never on the market, though records reveal the latest deal was inked for nearly $8.8 million, a relatively modest profit likely erased by taxes, maintenance, any renovations and any realtor commissions. But there may not have been realtor involvement in this transfer, because records also indicate the off-market buyer happens to be the neighbor — high-profile Hollywood mogul Guy Oseary, the Israeli-born talent agent and longtime tech investor best known for representing Madonna and U2.

Oseary has owned the substantially larger tennis court estate next door since 2005, when he bought it for about $7.4 million. In 2015, he dropped $4.3 million to acquire another adjacent property; with the addition of the former DeGeneres spread, Oseary now presides over a three-house, three-parcel estate that spans nearly 2.4 contiguous acres, includes about 18,000 square feet of living space and cost him a total of more than $20 million.

And since this deal was off-market, it’s not clear what — if any — changes DeGeneres and de Rossi made to the house during their brief ownership. But listings from last year show that the property was already in impeccable condition, with a recent restoration overseen by architect John Bertram and interior designer Sarah Shetter. Inside the redwood-sided structure are custom Douglas fir cabinetry, midcentury-appropriate terrazzo floors, swathes of Calacatta marble, LED lighting and a kitchen with high-end stainless appliances.

Squirreled away within the Hidden Valley gated community in Coldwater Canyon — where other homeowners include Adele, Cameron Diaz, Katy Perry, Ashton Kutcher and Nicole Kidman — the single-story house sports 4,600 square feet of living space visually dominated by rich wood trim, long hallways and walls of glass. The skylit courtyard entryway leads to various living areas, and a primary bedroom suite flaunts a private office and built-in soaking tub. There are four guest bedrooms, including a separate “children’s wing.”

Outside, the nearly half-acre spread is shaded by mature trees and enveloped by lush gardens painstakingly designed by Judy Kameon of Elysian Landscapes. A stone patio surrounds the perfectly rectangular pool, which is serviced by a barbecue and bar.

No word yet about DeGeneres and de Rossi’s next stop on their quickly turning real estate merry-go-round, but the couple still owns at least three estates up north in Montecito, including a $21 million Moorish-influenced mansion and a $14.3 million historic ranch that dates to the late 1800s.
